Background and history.
(…)Hiding behind a large rock Rishisune tightened his grip on his metal spear, a gift from his adoptive father. Trying to ignore the smell of fear and sweat spoiling the morning air he looked up at Kohitsuji, ‘please get me back home big brother’ he thought.(…)
Rishisune comes from a modest family of traders and fishermen. From a young age he displayed a keen interest in martial arts and secretly studied rudimentary techniques from a group of mercenaries.
His life changed at the age of 12 when his parents were killed by a drunken samurai who assaulted traders in the village square.
It is Kohitsuji’s father who would find Rishisune alone and starving by his parents’ graves. Rishisune quickly joined and embraced his new family and came to look up to Kohitsuji as his big brother.
A few years later, Rishisune was allowed to join the local military martial arts school and earned a reputation as a tenacious fighter with exceptional kicking abilities.
His nickname ‘Stone Legs’ was given to him following a brawl with a rival group during which Rishisune accidentally kicked a stone pillar and knocked it down. Rishisune knew that the stone pillar was already broken but said nothing preferring to enjoy his new found notoriety. Deep down he realises that he is a fraud and he is constantly trying to redeem and prove himself by recklessly getting into fights.
His latest hot-headed decision was to follow Kohitsuji and joined the army of Takeda Katsuyori for a final assault on Nagashino Castle.
