Hi everyone,
It’s finally here! Six years in the making, now come and see it on the Big Screen for two weeks only! Starting:
Friday, March 16th, 2007
Displaced has been a labour of love, and a huge journey for a very small team of dedicated people who have been working tirelessly since we started six years ago. Along the way we have received help and advice from a wide range of experts and industry professionals from Pinewood Studios to Hong Kong who have seen potential in the project. We have met some amazing people along the way including Sir Ian McKellen, who kindly provided a voice over for the opening of our film!
We have had no budget to work with, although we have received donations and sponsorships from local investors over the years to keep us going. All the cast and crew are local, and based around the Lancashire area, and every one of them showed great determination to complete the project.
To us, it has literally felt like Frodo’s journey across Middle Earth in Lord of the Rings! However, through grit and determination we have finished the film thanks to everybody involved, and at the American Film Market 2005 we were picked up by distribution company Silverline Entertainment who are in the process of selling the film to territories around the world.
All we wanted to do was to make a big fun action film that everyone could enjoy, so we would be honoured if you could attend one of our public screenings.
